Storm Publishing

4 – A Holiday Homicide – Ellie Alexander

This is the 4th in the Secret Bookcase series, set in a small town in Northern California, with former criminology student Annie Murray now working at a bookshop specialising in mystery novels. Each book has its own mystery, and there’s a long running arc of Annie wanting to solve the historical murder of her friend, Scarlet. This novel sees the sudden death of a baking Influencer, and see Annie begin to make plans for the future.

5 – Foul Play at Seal Bay – Judy Leigh

Boldwood Books

A lovely light cosy mystery set in the Cornish village of Seal Bay.

Morwenna Mutton is an unconventional character, larger than life, and ends up getting involved in solving a murder as a body is found on the beach with a knife in his back. Highly entertaining mystery, and a series I’ll be following.

6 – Bloodshed on the Boards – Judy Leigh

Boldwood Books

Morwenna Mutton is back, as death once again comes to Seal Bay, Cornwall, as a director and star of a travelling theatre group collapses on stage. With many people standing to benefit from his death, Morwenna isn’t convinced the death is a natural one.
